bloody letters a disturbing trend

Love your Korean idol so much that you are willing to die (from blood loss) for them? Write them a letter, penned in blood or in some ways have the bloody element, might be just the answer.

This is a rapidly increasing but disturbing trend in Korea right now, and from the latest reported incident (19.12.2009) it seemed it has spread to Tokyo, Japan as well. Two Japanese teenage girls had written BIGBANG members SoL and G-dragon letters, then cut themselves on their neck and sprinkled blood onto the letters. The photos are even posted up on Twitter.

Despite this latest incident being quite mild, the writers of the first three bloody letters were quite extreme. The first bloody letter, written by a Korean girl to 2PM member Taecyeon, used period blood as the ink.

Ok Taecyeon, You cannot live without me
Sprinkled with a few strands of my pubes

Gross, how disgusting and not to mention unhygienic is that? But that was just the beginning. Just ten days after poor Taecyeon received his first (and hopefully last) bloody fan letter, another letter written in similar ink was sent to MBLAQ's Lee Joon. The only difference: This fan slit her wrists with a knife and then used that blood in her bloody little composition:

Lee Chang Sun (real name of Lee Joon)
Don't forget me, you are everything to me.
I love you. Remember that.

This fan girl also lash out at her predecessor online, although she really don't have the rights to do anything of this sorts at all:

What's up with Ok Taecyeon period letter?
If you're gonna do one, at least do it right.
How dirty. Period blood? Act your age!
Don't do that, but do it right. Do it right.

If you think these two girls are insane, think again. Five days later, FTIsland's front man Lee Hongki also received a bloody letter. Apparently, this particular fan girl had accidentally cut her finger but instead of treating the wound with a band aid, decided to follow the insane bloody letter trend instead. The letter stated:

Lee Hongki, you know that I love you right?

More disturbing still is the latest Twitter post by the two Japanese fan girls:

G-dragon and Taeyang (SoL),
we are your soulmates and will be with you
as soon as you get our blood letters.
Until then my love, I'll dream of you.

I know I am delusional (I am married to G-dragon!), but these girls are clearly more far removed from reality than me. No way I'm going to join in this primadonna trend, no matter how much I love my hubbie. It's just wrong. This is what I posted to them on Twitter:

I don't know what to think of your bloody letters,
but I'm sure hubbie won't want a dead fan girl on his hands.

Hopefully, me and thousand others who replied to them will get this message across:

Do not taint the good name of us VIPs.

The top secret earthquake

I know I haven't blogged for a while and my best buddy Yamin is already whining about it, so I think I'll just post up something random here so I can get it off my mind.

I've recently got addicted to YouTube-ing. It was during my many YouTube sessions I discovered how good Wonder Girls are. They are, after all, produced by JYP who also produced Rain.

iHeart Rain's small eyes. That's what make him so irresistible. Anyway, I'm getting off topic here.

Wonder Girls are so damn good. I can't stop listening to Tell Me. Oh yess, I so want someone to tell me, but that's not the point. At least, not now anyways.

Now about the top secret earthquake, which is not really an earthquake but my first YouTube video open to public viewing. So yes I do have a YouTube account under reporter, LOL, I suppose I can call myself that? I've disabled embedding because I find the idea of my face being pasted on websites I don't know uncomfortable.

reminising

I know, I know. Lately I just post videos, don't really blog about anything. I'm just too lazy at the moment, bah. Be glad I don't start typing in SMS English. Ooh, I know a lot of people will be really pissed if I do.

So, the above video is the sweetest scene from Fullhouse, a Korean drama I just can't get enough of. OK, I confess Rain starring in it is one of the reasons why I love the drama series (trust me, this is the only Korean drama I'm addicted to) but the plot is insanely romantic also. Moi, who normally hates happy endings, swoon on every episode. Maybe it's just the sight of Rain. Maybe, maybe.

So my life's relatively boring right now, classes, food, studies, food, sleep and the cycle goes on. Occasionally I gave meself a treat - e.g. Fullhouse - and continue on the damn cycle again. It's like on an endurance test - make it or shrivel up and die. I'm too scared to count how many days I have till the exams but I do know it's frighteningly near.

So life goes on, the boring cycle continues, and a fanatic Rain fan suffers on. Rain! *faints*

This song brought me back to the painful times I went through when he left me, a period of time I felt like the living undead, living all the routines with a hole in my heart. I worried both my parents with my lack of emotions and hysterical crying at night, but no matter how hard they coaxed I just would not tell. I was in trouble already by behaving like this. Until now they are still in the dark as to why my behavior was so erratic during that period. Daddy and mom, thanks for your support. :) I love you!
