So I was just surfing happily and then I received an email. Its subject line sent me to hell, back again, and to hell once more.
Important: Changes to Blogger FTP Service
Please don't tell me it's what I'm thinking. Please don't tell me it's what I'm thinking. Please don't tell me–
MY NIGHTMARE HAS CAME TRUE.
Read for yourself the damned email from Blogger.
Dear FTP user:
You are receiving this e-mail because one or more of your blogs at Blogger.com are set up to publish via FTP. We recently announced a planned shut-down of FTP support on Blogger Buzz (the official Blogger blog), and wanted to make sure you saw the announcement. We will be following up with more information via e-mail in the weeks ahead, and regularly updating a blog dedicated to this service shut-down here: http://blogger-ftp.blogspot.com/.
The full text of the announcement at Blogger Buzz follows.
Last May, we discussed a number of challenges facing Blogger users who relied on FTP to publish their blogs. FTP remains a significant drain on our ability to improve Blogger: only .5% of active blogs are published via FTP – yet the percentage of our engineering resources devoted to supporting FTP vastly exceeds that. On top of this, critical infrastructure that our FTP support relies on at Google will soon become unavailable, which would require that we completely rewrite the code that handles our FTP processing.
Three years ago we launched Custom Domains to give users the simplicity of Blogger, the scalability of Google hosting, and the flexibility of hosting your blog at your own URL. Last year's post discussed the advantages of custom domains over FTP and addressed a number of reasons users have continued to use FTP publishing. (If you're interested in reading more about Custom Domains, our Help Center has a good overview of how to use them on your blog.) In evaluating the investment needed to continue supporting FTP, we have decided that we could not justify diverting further engineering resources away from building new features for all users.
For that reason, we are announcing today that we will no longer support FTP publishing in Blogger after March 26, 2010. We realize that this will not necessarily be welcome news for some users, and we are committed to making the transition as seamless as possible. To that end:
- We are building a migration tool that will walk users through a migration from their current URL to a Blogger-managed URL (either a Custom Domain or a Blogspot URL) that will be available to all users the week of February 22. This tool will handle redirecting traffic from the old URL to the new URL, and will handle the vast majority of situations.
- We will be providing a dedicated blog and help documentation
- Blogger team members will also be available to answer questions on the forum, comments on the blog, and in a few scheduled conference calls once the tool is released
.
We have a number of big releases planned in 2010. While we recognize that this decision will frustrate some users, we look forward to showing you the many great things on the way. Thanks for using Blogger.
Regards,
Rick Klau

06.01.2010 - today is damn bitter-sweet
TOPIC 01: SNOW!!!
I woke up and went about my business without realising it has SNOWED until I went down for breakfast. I was wearing slippers. How how how suitable for walking in the snow. It was a miracle I didn't fall over at all.
Actually I want to say I am possibly the most stable person when it comes to walking in snow. Haha. More about this in a bit.
So when I got back from breakfast, it was still snowing. Bless the whatever factors that make this weather condition possible. I forgot what the factors are.
Of course, Pingu is the happiest at the snowing!
Pingu: You! Yes, you. Howcome you didn't tell me it's snowing outside one hah? I want you to take a picture of me at the window! Now!
So rude one ah this stuffed penguin? I had half a mind to open a window and throw it out. Not surprisingly, she demanded I told no one the above picture was taken at the window. She didn't even want to be let out into her native weather conditions. Such a hypocrite.
Some shots of how winterly my school suddenly looked:
After school Ann and I went to town. Our first stop was the Salisbury Cathedral. It was my idea OK. I thought the cathedral might look magical covered in snow or something, but was a bit disappointed. On the way to town:
Pictures of the cathedral on a snow day's glory:
TOPIC 02: G-DRAGON IS NOT GOING TO JAIL
Help me. AllKPop had confirmed my worst worst WORST fear. My hubbie is possibly going to JAIL for doing something tons of singers had done before.
I suddenly hold a grudge against J.Y. Park. Forget he was Rain's producer and Rain has a lot of respect for him bla-bla-bla. J.Y. Park did NOT go to jail for what he did, which was similar to what my hubbie did. SO TO HELL ALL HATERS, G-DRAGON IS NOT GOING TO JAIL.
TOPIC 03: YUI'S ⌈Muffler⌋ IS A GREAT 'CONCENTRATION MUSIC'
YUI is a goddess. Her new single ⌈GLORIA⌋, due out this coming 20th, is packed full of everything inspirational. If GLORIA is motivating, Muffler is concentrating.
Unlike what most YUILovers suspect at first, Muffler does not sound sad but instead sound calming. Great as background music for studying and driving (as another YUILover stated).
If you haven't listen to Muffler yet, fret not. The song playing when you arrived on this page is - yes - none other than Muffler. I love this song to bits. You might also want to check out this post for the lyrics and the download links.
TOPIC 04: GET A CHANCE TO WIN ⌈GLORIA⌋ MUGS...
...when you buy the first-press limited edition of ⌈GLORIA⌋.
These ⌈GLORIA⌋ mugs are adorable and unveiled on the YUI Staff Diary today. Even though I am famous for openly hating the oh-so-girly-I-am-blinded PINK colour (plus it clashes with my new layout), it looks great on the ⌈GLORIA⌋ mug!

I want the blue one! ^^ More details about the ⌈GLORIA⌋ mugs and how to win them on YUI-Lover.
TOPIC 05: G-DRAGON SHINE A LIGHT CONCERT MERCS
I totally recommend buying from either Korean eBay seller smile-spoon or DVDheaven. Here are the links to smile-spoon's eBay shop and DVDheaven so what are you G-Dragon fangirls waiting for?
When mine arrived (yes I've already preorder them) I will wear the I ♥ GD badge all the time to show my support for hubbie. And on a last note...
...G-DRAGON IS NOT GOING TO JAIL (TOPIC 06)
He is totally NOT going to jail. If he really is going to jail then I am going to set up an anti-JYP club. Even though I love Wonder Girls. I am serious.

OMFG WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME MBLAQ IS RAIN'S BOY BAND. I've been missing out on showering them with a little love! I miss the hot stuff who is Rain so damn much =( He practically is god in my early teens. Full House just add to my obsession (or is it fetish) with guys possessing small eyes.
I swear, people who look at me like I am crazy when I say that are missing out on the point that GUYS WITH SMALL EYES ARE SIZZLINGLY HOT. I predict my guy friends with small eyes reading this are either feeling proud of their own good looks or freaking out because that was one of the reasons I confess to them in the first place.
No, I don't go around confessing to guys with small eyes. Only two guys and we are on pretty friendly terms. One of them even know of this obsession (fetish?) of mine. OK OK it's Caesar and Solon now get off my back. P.S. Sorry guys. I just realised both of them have pretty unique names as well! If you haven't realised it yet my hubbie G-Dragon also have small eyes.
Anyway I have been going off topic, so never argue with me about guys with small guys being hotter than guys with froggishly-big eyes because I won't let you win. Big eyes are better on girls because it's just meant to be this way. So back to the topic: MBLAQ.
This is mostly stuff I dug up at AllKPop. MBLAQ (prnounced M Black - how cool is that?), as the letter of the group implies, is made up of 5 members, Jang Goon, Park Sang Hyun (Thunder), Yang Seung Ho, Lee Joon and Bang Chul Yong (MiReu), under Rain's label, J. Tune Entertainment. They debut at Rain's 2009 Rainism concert OMFG HOW DID I MISS THAT HOW DID I MISS THAT HOW DID I MISS THAT!!!
Ahem. Anyway, their image is very Rain, don't you think? Vests, tracksuits, sunglasses and chest baring. Very Rain-ish. Or should I say, very Rainism.
Are they hot? Yes. Do they have small eyes? Err, we'll see about that.
OMFG this is freaking hot. Let's just gaze at this picture all day and forget about their horrible acronym "Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality's".
I will now read up on MBLAQ for Rain because Rain is my forever idol. I'm still a bit peeved no one told me MBLAQ is Rain's boy band, but oh well.

have you felt so alive
that you turn off the fuckin light
shoots the bullets the through the wall
and promised your family that you never fall
memories keep bouncing up and down
one person turn everything into dreams
every thought of time broken into scenes
movies created a mind been elevated
shots runnin through the brain again
see eyes fallin down with the river across
time passes by with no single applause
everything is just a shake
and what else can we take
look upside down
and bury yourself underground
movin out of town
just to carry the crown
listen to the sound
your heart start to pound
tick and tock
more spinnin of this clock
time is more when reincarnated
just passed days motivated
with no hesitaion like no confrontation
just no more protection under a mask
a mission of a task
starts a firery gun on the blast
and crack a bottle for how long you could last

So pissed off right now.
I ordered this YUI porter off eBay several weeks ago, and to my horror, it came in the worst possible condition: damaged.
I was horrified. How could anyone treat YUI merchadise like this? I immediately sent off an e-mail to the seller asking if a refund is possible. Actually, I don't see why not.
The seller replied soon after, asking for an image so he can see how much damage was done. I did just that, and he asked for a trading.
Trading? Huh?
He wants my entire collection of YUI pictures in exchange for a damage-free poster.
Why not, man. Over my dead body. You had probably spent off my money buying otaku goods. No way I'm gonna trade.
A-hole.

Swine flu (also Influenza A or H1N1): Country by Country
Source: BBC News, last updated 06.07.09
You might also find Fergus on Flu quite a read on all things H1N1.
A really bad joke with bad timing: Relax, fellow Bruneians! We are having our swine flu moment!

Jolene Wong blogged @ 10:59 AM | 0 Comments
It makes me angry that the people from my countries, those people calling themselves Bruneians, are shrinking away from us overseas Bruneians, blaming us for the spread of H1N1 in the otherwise peaceful country. I am aware this post only apply to a handful of those Bruneians, can I make my sarcasm clear, you guys are the sickest person ever.
I was aware of H1N1 when it first broke out in Mexico, and when it spread over to USA and the first case of H1N1 in UK was in Scotland. I knew there was a case in Bristol, and various dotted places in London, so can you blame us for taking the precautions more seriously than anyone else?
Face masks are TOTALLY UNEFFECTIVE against H1N1. It's expensive, it's ineffective. No point getting them. No vaccine for H1N1 is available yet - at least not until September anyway. We washed our hands with soap and water diligently, we used those antibacterial hand gel over seven times a day. I bet some Bruneians don't even wash their hands after visiting the toilet, let alone use antibacterial hand gel.
We are doing our best not to travel, but that's like asking a growing baby to stop growing. Travel is essential. As scholars we need to frequently travel from one part of UK to another. My school is in Wiltshire - Brunei Hall is in Greater London. Don't travel? OK, I'll just stay here and most likely when I got back to Brunei, I'll still be quarantined anyway. This world has long been an unfair place.
To those idiotically paranoid Bruneians, may I present you this article:
Don't panic, urges Health Minister
"WE DON'T have to live in fear and there is no need to panic. It's not necessary."
By Azlan Othman
"WE DON'T have to live in fear and there is no need to panic. It’s not necessary." That was the message relayed by the Minister of Health in a press briefing as the country recorded 24 new Influenza A (H1N1) cases yesterday, the highest surge since the nation was hit by the flu more than a week ago, thus bringing the tally to 66.
Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Data Seri Setia Hj Suyoi also said that the pandemic is here to stay.
"According to its cycle, it can remain for two years. But within that period, there could be a lot of changes as well."
"We hope that there will be a vaccine for H1N1 soon. At the moment, we have to be very careful as such a vaccine is not yet available. It might remain mild, and patients would recover from it and the public should not be afraid," the minister added.
Epidemiological studies indicate that as of July 1, 2009 at 3pm, the flu has affected 49 Bruneians and 11 foreign nationals, with Brunei-Muara recording 41 cases, Belait 16, Temburong four, Tutong three and transit one.
As of July 1, 2009, those with travel history constituted to 30 cases, out of which nine were patients who returned from UK, Kuala Lumpur (eight), Kota Kinabalu (six), Johore (one), La-was (one), Singapore (one), Philippines (one) and Laos (one).
The Ministry also said, 24 cases were transmitted via contacts, while another 12 are still under investigation.
It also informed that there is a possibility of community transmission involving a 15-year old girl who neither has a travel history nor contact with other cases.
He also said the ministry is reviewing the possibility of renewing the management protocol. Among these would be strengthening treatment at homes for mild cases and the suitability of home treatment to ensure that there are no close contact with those who have chronic diseases or pregnant women.
Pehin Dato Hj Suyoi also said there is a possibility to turn Pg Muda Mahkota Pg Muda Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah hospital in Tutong into a full isolation centre for H1N1.
This is a control measure, as H1NI patients should be treated separately.
As an initial stage to ascertain the continuity of the service at the hospital, steps such as relocating outpatient services to Tutong Health Office and relocating physicians, dermatology, midwifery and pediatric services will also be made to Tutong Health Office effective July 4, 2009.
Specialised OMF, ENT and ophthalmology services will also be moved to bungalow B and C of the Tutong hospital beginning July 4.
The Ministry sources stated that the H1N1 cases here are mild. However, we should step up our precautions as the disease is easily transmitted and causes many illnesses, thus affecting daily activities. There is also a possibility of mutation of such virus to become more dangerous and that there is no vaccine to prevent such H1N1 yet.
Due to the surge in the reported cases, the ministry urged the public to step up precautions and not to be complacent. For those who have just returned from the affected countries in the past seven days and developed the symptoms, they should see a doctor at health centres and hospitals immediately.
The public were also advised to reduce social activities and avoid crowded places within seven days such as community gatherings, shopping centres, markets, stalls, restaurants, cinemas, swimming pools and the like.
The public should also practise good personal hygiene such as to wash their hands thoroughly and often with soap and water, cover nose and mouth with a piece of tissue paper when coughing or sneezing.
Just wanna inform u guys, the plan awal2 about ke Meragang together tu, have to be cancelled. Since after every flight balik, we must stay quarantined for about a week. So, inda jua dapat buat papa kan.
